Program Overview

Clayton State University’s Joint-Enrollment Program gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their requirements for high school. Beginning in January, 2008, joint enrollment students will be able to take core college courses at the University’s new Fayette County instructional site in Peachtree City.

    • Courses are fully accredited and widely accepted as transferable college credit
    • Tuition and most fees are covered by the GSFC Accel program
  • About the Instructional Site
    • Conveniently located at 1200 Commerce Drive in Westpark Office Park
    • On site admissions, financial aid, and registration
    • Fully equipped classrooms with wireless internet access
  • Joint-Enrollment Options
    • Morning classes during first period
      • When: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., Monday thru Friday
      • What: students enroll in 1 or 2 courses for college credit
        • PSYC 1101 Introduction to Psychology
        • COMM 1110 Spoken Communication
    • Afternoon class during last period
      • When: 3:00 – 4:15 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays
      • What: POLS 1101 American Government
    • Evening classes
  • Academic Requirements
    • The minimum admission standards for joint enrollment are:
      • Minimum SAT I score of 970, combined Verbal and Mathematics sections, or ACT Composite of 20;
      • Minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher in courses taken from the required 16 CPC units;
      • High school junior or senior
